AyMON — the industrial monitoring and automation engine

AyMON

For Developers

Extend the engine

Add what the engine does not speak yet

AyMON can be extended in three ways, from lightest to deepest:

  • Script — write a protocol on a raw TCP, UDP or serial connection, or add logic to any point, without building anything.
  • Python — call Python from configuration and from script when you want its libraries, numpy included.
  • Plug-ins — a protocol, a connection type, a script library or an SQL driver in plain C, against one header.

Repositories

AyMON

The engine for Windows and Linux, runnable examples and the guides. Opens first.

AyPLG — plug-in SDK

One header, a plain C interface and example plug-ins (S7, SQLite, ODBC, a script library). Later.

AyDATA

The core library: the type system and the live XML tree with XPath and JSON. Later.

Bugs

In the issue tracker, with the log lines and the smallest configuration that shows them.

Security

Report privately through GitHub, never in a public issue.

Pull requests

Not accepted for now: the engine has a single copyright holder. Proposals are welcome as issues.
