Six short guides, written around the examples

The guides explain the few ideas everything else follows from, each with the example that shows it running. Every example also has its own README that walks through its configuration line by line.

The same pages are published as a searchable site, together with llms-full.txt: the whole documentation in one file to give to your own AI assistant.

The guides

Suggested reading order

1 — The element tree

Connection, device, block and point; addresses, status, how a value travels, reading the log.

2 — Timers and events

Nothing happens by itself: threads, timers and the function chain.

3 — Scripting

Where script lives, how the XML calls it, the seven places it is not JavaScript, Python, SQL.

4 — Licensing

What is free, what is not, and why the replication example runs anyway.

5 — Connections and protocols

Transports and protocols, who dials and who asks, writing back.

6 — Access and safety

Address filters, logins, per-element rights and TLS before you open a plant to a network.
